Terms of Service
Welcome to VetaSync. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of VetaSync’s website, mobile applications, and practice management software services (collectively, the “Service”). Please read these Terms carefully before using the Service.
1Definitions
“Company” refers to VetaSync Inc., the provider of the veterinary practice management platform.
“User” refers to any veterinary professional, clinic administrator, or staff member authorized to access the platform.
“Patient Data” includes medical records, treatment history, and diagnostic information pertaining to animals under the care of the User.
“Protected Health Information (PHI)” refers to sensitive health data as defined under relevant regional healthcare privacy laws.
2Use of Service
VetaSync grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service strictly for professional veterinary practice management. You agree not to:
- Modify, disassemble, or reverse engineer any part of the platform.
- Use the Service for any unauthorized or illegal clinical activities.
- Circumvent security protocols or attempt unauthorized access to other clinic environments.
- Input false or misleading diagnostic data into the permanent record system.
3User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. Each account is personal to the individual user and sharing of credentials between clinic staff is strictly prohibited to ensure medical audit trail integrity.
4Data Privacy & HIPAA
We prioritize the security of clinical data. While veterinary records are not always governed by human-centric HIPAA regulations, VetaSync maintains a “HIPAA-Equivalent” security posture including:
AES-256 Encryption
All data is encrypted at rest and in transit using industry-standard protocols.
Audit Logs
Every modification to a medical record is timestamped and attributed to a user.
5Intellectual Property
The VetaSync platform, including its clinical algorithms, interface design, and proprietary code, remains the sole property of VetaSync Inc. However, you retain full ownership of all Patient Data and practice-specific information uploaded to the platform. We reserve the right to use anonymized, aggregated data for system optimization and clinical research.
6Limitation of Liability
VETASYNC IS A DECISION SUPPORT TOOL AND DOES NOT CONSTITUTE MEDICAL ADVICE. THE COMPANY IS NOT LIABLE FOR CLINICAL OUTCOMES OR ERRORS IN TREATMENT PROVIDED BY USERS. IN NO EVENT SHALL VETASYNC BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM SYSTEM DOWNTIME.
